Everyone is welcome at FNB. This is evident in the diversity of FNBers. We’ve gotten involved through friends, indymedia articles, moving to London and leaving our FNBs in other countries, come to visit for a short time, or heard our tunes while walking along Whitechapel High St. Under ‘Why FNB’ you can hear a bit more about some of the ideas different people have about Food Not Bombs. It’s precisely these differences, and the fact that we don’t agree on everything that makes it so fun! We talk about a lot of these things while we cook and with people in the park, and try to hold monthly meetings to make sure we continue to evolve in the ways we envisage. In this way, we organize as a collective on a non-hierarchical basis, making decisions by consensus, so that everyone has a say in what goes on, and can be involved in every aspect. AND YOU! We always need extra help and new energy.
