WHAT

Put simply we provide free vegan meals in public spaces to whoever is hungry. We collect food that would otherwise be wasted and cook it up in a squatted social centre, transporting it by bike trailer to the local park. We all like tunes so we play music on our sound system, people have been known to dance, and occasionally someone will get up and sing song or recite a poem. Since we’ve been around for over a year now, there are quite a few regulars, and we continue to surprise passers-by, so it’s a nice space to share a meal and chat with new and old friends. We see ourselves as part of a wider movement, and have supported other actions when we can, providing tea, soup etc, and would like to be able to do this more and more.
